Here I will share my stitching adventures with those that wish to try to following my babbling.Nicolehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15972829457421653014noreply@blogger.comBlogger39125tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20211436.post-63799037832029352732006-12-30T08:03:00.000-06:002006-12-30T08:10:41.488-06:00Plans for the New YearAlright, I know you are all giggling out there, so just be quiet for a minute and listen up. Queenie and I have come up with a new rotation and this is it...

Slot 1-Cirques by Ink Circles (Christmas gift courtesy of Queenie)
Slot 2-Gatekeeper
Slot 3-Winter Queen
Slot 4-Dark Rose
Slot 5-Persian Iris
Slot 6-Thomas
Slot 7-Puppy Love
Slot 8-Whatever is screaming at the moment

We will also be working on a piece for the SAL challenge once a month and mine will be Small Things color. On months that have 5 weeks, that will be another free week. So our new rotation works out to 2 months.

We have also set yearly HAED goals....4 pages of each HAED in our rotation and finishing a QS.

So, what does everyone think?

OK, on to other things.....I'll be spending the weekend organizing my pieces for the new rotation and starting Cirques. I have Dark Rose all gridded and kitted. I gridded 1/2 the piece, so should be set for a very long time. I'm going to finish up kitting Gatekeeper this morning and then do the gridding, I think I'll grid the top row of pages for that one. I have Small Things color all gridded and ready to go, I ordered SILKIES for this one!!!

I also want to set up scrapbook pages for all the pieces in the rotation.

So that is my exciting New Years weekend!!

Happy New Years everyone!!!!!!Nicolehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15972829457421653014noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20211436.post-1166291980590092542006-12-16T11:54:00.001-06:002006-12-20T18:07:31.263-06:00What I have been up to this morning

I decided to revamp my crafting room. Started last night and just finished. It didn't take as long as I thought it would. Now hubby got involved in the fray and got all the Christmas stuff out and efficiently trashed my livingroom and kitchen. We found out the mice got into the box with the Christmas dishes so now I have to wash all of them.

So here is my progress, the last pics are of my living room and kitchen, I'll be back to show better pics later.

Wish me luck!Nicolehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15972829457421653014noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20211436.post-1165803255375996432006-12-10T20:10:00.000-06:002006-12-10T20:14:15.393-06:00Finally
After many trials and tribulations, the monster is done. I won't get into my cranky details, but lets just say I will not be doing another Reflets de Soie chart. OK details, 28 ct Royalty Opal Lugana by Enchanted Fabrics and Vikki Clayton's Midnight Rainbow premium silk. I must say Vikki was a lifesaver when I ran outta floss, had it in the mail to me the next day and even included an extra skein for me! And lovely Lori did a special cut size just for me. What more can you ask for?

Now it is back to Puppy Love and hopefully will be finished in time for Christmas!!!Nicolehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15972829457421653014noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20211436.post-1164153309536892112006-11-21T17:51:00.000-06:002006-11-21T18:22:36.006-06:00This Ones for Fudgling

OK, here is an update on Reflets de Soie's d'Orient. I have quite a bit more done on it, but its at work so can't take a pic. I'm hoping to actually finish it this weekend, I have decided that I just wanna finish all these darned Christmas gifts. I am thrilled with the way this is coming out and can't wait to see it completely finished.

I restarted Small Things color this past weekend during the Restart SAL, but all I did was sparklies so not much to show.

Lif is hectic, the holidays it always is. I will hopefully be adding a finished pic of that this weekend and maybe even another little surprise for you Miss Fudgling.
Nicolehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15972829457421653014noreply@blogger.com5tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20211436.post-1163029199165152782006-11-08T17:28:00.000-06:002006-11-08T17:39:59.180-06:00Alright, I'm updating my severly neglected blog

Lets see, well I've got a relatively boring life, which is perfectly fine with me. I've been stitching lots, finished my Nephew's stocking and making major progress on my Momma's gift (Reflets de Soie's d'Orient) and my Niece's gift (Puppy Love) and Saxony. So there is all my stitching news. We are patiently awaiting the release of Nene's charts, I just can't wait. At least I'm trying to be patient.

Not much else going on, sinuses are acting up as usual b/c the weather is changing, its starting to get cold.

Hope everyone is well.Nicolehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15972829457421653014noreply@blogger.com6tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20211436.post-1153700723757739842006-07-23T19:19:00.000-05:002006-07-23T19:25:23.770-05:00This entry coming to you from my shiny new laptop!Yep, finally broke down (well broke the dh down) and got a new puter. Its a Gateway laptop (recommended by Al thank you very much) and I AM LOVING IT! It actually does what I want it to do without a fight and so many new features that I never knew about with my old puter.

On the stitchy front...I finished a page of Hope, Did 3 of 4 parts on PIG and have now turned my attention to a 2nd page of Autumn due to the Mid-Season SAL on the MB. I haven't made as much progress this weekend as I would've liked. I went on an organization binge yesterday and completely cleaned and organized my craft room, then I went and bought a new chair for stitching. Then came home to a puter that was acting totally wonky, combination of Yahoo acting up and the puter acting crazy. Got MSN IM installed and used that for the night (no way Lana and I cannot chat for an entire night). Well I woke up this morning to a computer acting crazy again and just finally gave up on it. So my stitching has suffered tremendously this weekend.

After I finish this page of Autumn I will post pics of Hope, PIG and this promise!!Nicolehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15972829457421653014noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20211436.post-1152485770599537312006-07-09T17:49:00.000-05:002006-07-09T17:56:10.610-05:00Wow...what a weekWell made it thru another week! And finally finished that dang page of Hope today (I'll post pics after PIG part 3 is done). I've got some stitchy housecleaning to do tonight, wanna outline Scrump's stocking and finish up a Papillon freebie. I decided to use VC Premium silks for Scrumps stocking, got a few stitches in yesterday while I was waiting for the car. It is going to be a masterpiece, if I do say so myself.

I had a bunch of retail therapy yesterday, went shopping with a friend. Boy did I spend alot of money! But it was free money, sorta, my brother owed me $300 from something I charged for him and I had already paid it off. So, I went to the mall with a friend and her son and bought 3 pairs of jeans, a cute little pair of flip flops for around the house, a pair of housepants and 5 or 6 tops. Oh and we went to lunch at the Cheesecake Factory, OMG it was delicious and the menu what 20 pages lol.

Now off to another week of work. I'm considering taking Friday off and making it a nice long 3 day weekend. Since I don't get paid for time off, I can't really take a full week at a time, so I'm thinking I might start taking some Fridays off and making long weekends.

Well thats bout it, nothing much else going on...Nicolehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15972829457421653014noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20211436.post-1151842894026552772006-07-02T07:16:00.000-05:002006-07-02T07:21:34.043-05:00Happy 4th EveryoneYeah, I know not the 4th yet, but its the long weekend.

Not much to update on my front, just the way I like it. I have a long 4 day weekend and Momma is visiting, so its been busy so far. Went shopping yesterday for some much needed decorating supplies. I got a small table, lamp and decorative candle holder for my bedroom and got the most beautiful fabby to make table runners for the bedroom (Momma will be making those). I also picked up a kit for Mirabilia's Lady of the Flag. I don't know when I'll ever get to it, but it is being discontinued and it was only $10, so I figured it was worth it.

On the stitchy front, I am working on the 939 on page one of Hope, I would really like to finish it in the next few days, before I go back to work. Then I'm on to Part 3 of PIGgy. Hope is coming out stunning of course. I'll post pics at the end of this rotation (Hope, PIGgy, and the 2nd pages of Autumn and Daze). Probably be close to the end of the month. Pappillion released a new design on Friday and it is stunning, but unfortunately, gotta finish something before I can get it. And Michele has released Petite Point designs that are stunning on Silk Gauze. Lana and I decided that when we finish 2 pages on our current rotation our treat will be a PP and the Gauze to go with it.

See, not much going on round here, just wanted to say HI!Nicolehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15972829457421653014noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20211436.post-1150552637334274342006-06-17T08:54:00.000-05:002006-06-17T08:57:17.350-05:00Just a Little UpdateJust a little note from my corner of the world...another crazy week at work, my partner in crime was out all week and I was running like a lunatic. Got about 2/3 of a page done on Daze, I'm hoping to finish this weekend, but that might be a pipe dream. I'm off to get my hair cut, colored and highlighted in a few minutes, I can't wait! Need it done badly. Don't really have many other plans for the weekend. Just some minor cleaning and some revamping in my garden. The flowers are fighting for positions, gotta weed some stuff out.

Have a great weekend, anyone that is reading!Nicolehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15972829457421653014noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20211436.post-1150246897287879442006-06-13T19:59:00.000-05:002006-06-13T20:01:37.310-05:00Yep, its me again...

There they are, Secret, Mystery and Hope, aka The Babies! Finally, finally released today and courtesy of Queenie, in my email at work when I cam back from lunch. Aren't they adorable? Aren't they precious? Aren't they cute? Well of course they are and they are mine all mine!!! Can't wait to start.Nicolehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15972829457421653014noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20211436.post-1150046975421052562006-06-11T12:17:00.000-05:002006-06-11T12:29:35.440-05:00Wow, another month has gone by

Lets see, what have I been up to?

I have finished the first page of Autumn (and Michele kindly release the last 3 seasons, which a wonderful little fairy on the board sent me 2 of and I picked up the last one, now I've got them all!).

I also finished my first page of Tease on 25ct and I'm thrilled with the progress. There is a ton of confetti in her, but well worth the effort.

Lastly, I finished Part 2 of PIGgy (aka Persian Iris Garden) by Chatelaine, didn't take long at all and it is getting more and more beautiful. But I do think that Martina is lulling us and we are going to get slammed with a huge part soon.

Now for the HAED news of the month, there have been tons of new releases. They are all gorgeous, of course, and I picked up Peacock Daze by Josephine Wall and Village at Mossey Stump by Linda Ravenscroft. Of course I am currently stitching on Daze and Stumpy is next up in the rotation. I am desperately (and not very patiently) waiting for more Schimmels to be released. I love animals and his style is amazing. I am hoping for a few of my favorites.

We finally got the house all fixed up from the storms, John has been back at work for a few weeks and is doing well, and I am completely recovered from my surgery. Work has been a nightmare the last few weeks, I'm hoping it calms down soon.

If you made it this far, I applaud you. Toodles for now.Nicolehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15972829457421653014noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20211436.post-1147387022360670022006-05-11T17:33:00.000-05:002006-05-11T17:37:02.373-05:00GoobersWhat a bunch of goobers I have for friends. First Miss Angel sent me the sample binder of all of Vikki Clayton's silks for my birthday. Of course I had to sit and fondle the silks for much of the day on Saturday. Now I come home today to a pressie in my Inbox of Seed's newly released Winter and Summer. Of course I already have Autumn started (almost done with a page). I just looked and I have fabby for a new one. So, sigh, I had a tough decision to make. I had 2 Chats and 2 HAEDs in my rotation and in order to be able to start one of my pressies, I had to give something up. Another sigh, so I decided to put Japanese Garden on hold and start Seed's Summer. Goodness, my brain hurts now.

I WANT TO SAY A HUGE THANK YOU TO ALL MY LOVELY FRIENDS, YOU REALLY ARE MAKING MY BIRTHDAY "MONTH" SPECIAL.Nicolehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15972829457421653014noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20211436.post-1146698678169995982006-05-03T18:21:00.000-05:002006-05-03T18:24:38.180-05:00I'm on a Higha Fenech print high that is. I am absolutely thrilled, the wonderful Fudgesters sent me Small Things and Tease prints and the most amazingly cute key chain with Tease and my name on it! Can you say happy little possum? Thats what I am. I am going to get frames in the next few days and they will hang proudly in my crafting room so I can look at the all the time and think of the wonderful person in Taz that sent them!Nicolehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15972829457421653014noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20211436.post-1146093791417906142006-04-26T18:19:00.000-05:002006-04-26T18:23:11.430-05:00Well I made it through the surgeryWell had the dental surgery on Monday and I'm still in one piece, even tho my mouth is held together with 7 stitches. Went to the surgeon at 7am on Monday morning and the surgery took 2 hours. Had some pretty nasty pain for a few hours until I got the Demerol RX filled, but then I was in la la land for the remainder of the day (just ask Lana, she'll tell you). Yesterday wasn't so bad, I just looked like an overgrown chipmunk with a fat lip, but the pain wasn't so bad. Most of the swelling is down tonight and my biggest issue is not being able to blow my nose, mind you it is full blown allergy season.

And good news on the hubby front, he starts physical therapy on Friday and goes back to the dr next Friday. Hopefully he will be back to work on 5/8, good thing because I think he is getting bored.

So thats the scoop. I guess things are starting to look up!Nicolehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15972829457421653014noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20211436.post-1145715833190046952006-04-22T09:08:00.000-05:002006-04-22T09:23:53.246-05:00Its gotta get betterI feel like the local drama queen lately. We are just on a bad luck roll and I'm hoping that it gets better soon. Lets start at the beginning of the week...

I stitched happily along on my Tease Monday night, happy as a clam.

Tuesday comes along and I got great news from the insurance company. The inspector came out and looked at the house on Monday and put the claim in for $6000, which will fix the house with a little bit left over if we watch what we spend. I was THRILLED! Then I started stitching on Tease again and decided I just wasn't happy with the way my stitching is on 22ct. So decided that I was going to restart. No big deal, didn't have too much done.

Now for Wednesday, the big blow up. I had a terrible, terrible day at work, just left completely drained. I stopped on the way home to pick up the flossies for Queenies bday gift (thank goodness they had them all), and toddled home. Got home and did my chores, was actually quite pleased with myself and then DH came home. Well the goober decided to go in the backyard and try and stand up the fence enough to let the dogs out. I had no idea what he was doing. I go out to let the dogs back in and hes waving at me from behind the fence all the way in the back. So I go trudging back there and he tells me he hurt his leg. Hurt his leg? He couldn't walk on it! So we spent the night in the ER, diagnosis...ruptered left calf and instructions to see the ortho on Thursday.

So Thursday, I head on off to work after very little sleep and DH calls in to work. He goes to the ortho Thurs afternoon and they tell him its his Achilles, he has to go for an MRI. So now he is in that big black boot thing to keep everything immobile. Now its either good news or bad news, we'll find out on Tuesday when he goes back to the dr for the results. If its just a tear of his achilles, he'll be out of work for a few weeks. If its ruptured, he will be out for months and months and months. Now, we have enough in savings to handle a few weeks, but months and months and months will be very very very hard on us. So if you've made it this far, please cross your fingers for us.

So DH went for the MRI on Friday, but we don't know anymore. Like I said, we'll find out when he goes back to the ortho on Tuesday.

So, that was my week. The only big bright spot in it was the release of Autumn on Thursday night. After the fiasco with Tease and the fabby, I decided to start Autumn immediately and restart Tease next up in the rotation. Its all gridded and kitted and ready to go.

I decided that I needed a stitching weekend and have decided I will do nothing this weekend except stitch. No work, no cleaning no gardening no nothing. I am only going to do the necessary things to survive...laundry, cooking and such.

And on Monday I get to go for oral surgery. So it will be interesting to have him in that big black boot hobbling around and me in pain after surgery. Wish me luck.

Thanks for listening to me sook. I promise it will get better soon!Nicolehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15972829457421653014noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20211436.post-1145190946631279962006-04-16T07:34:00.000-05:002006-04-16T07:41:24.593-05:00YIPPEE!!!!!!!!!!

Have I mentioned that i love Tease??? Aren't they adorable. I have been drooling over this for ages, I've even asked for it a few times! I love, love, love this one. It definitely boots everything else out of the way. My stitching buddy is gonna kill me, but I just gotta! I love it. Already ordered it. I can't wait to start! This just made my weekend. Its been such a crappy couple of weeks and its hard to believe that a little thing like a new xs chart can make me so happy. Thanks Michele and Bob!

Not much other news going on. I spent a good portion of the day yesterday playing in the dirt. Got my first flower bed all done and have to dig out the next one today. It came out really pretty, of course that was after 3 trips to Lowes. I also worked on Taj a bit, I'll update with pics after Part 2 is done. I've also gotten a bit done on Impossible Love, but it might just be taking a little nap now that Tease is out.

The insurance company still hasn't come out to look at our damage so we're still dealing with having the dogs in a little pen and manually opening and closing the garage door. Yes I know how lazy I am!

OK, off to drool some more.
Nicolehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15972829457421653014noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20211436.post-1144584406637335792006-04-09T07:02:00.000-05:002006-04-09T07:06:46.653-05:00Where to Start?I don't even know where to start this post. It has been quite a week. Well I updated about the storms coming thru last Sunday, and not sure if I posted I got my new furniture on Thursday and its beautiful. Now to Friday...a round of absolutely devastating storms came thru Middle TN on Friday. DH was home and saw a tornado in front of our house, one of the scariest things hes ever seen. The tornados killed at least 10 people in my area and just levelled homes. Luckily we've had no damage from these, but my heart just aches for the people who have lost everything. Our damage seems like nothing now and I feel so selfish for being upset about my little bit of damage.

My puter has been acting up since the storms on Sunday and I will have to eventually break down and get a new one. Some days it works just fine and others it does some really wacky things, so if I'm not around much, it probably means the puter is being mean to me.Nicolehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15972829457421653014noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20211436.post-1144279855581790312006-04-05T18:21:00.000-05:002006-04-05T18:30:55.600-05:00Well its been a weekLets see, what was that I was saying about a boring weekend? Remind me never to say that again.

Well Sunday night they were predicting storms for our area, ok, no big deal. Well by 8/9pm we were under a tornado watch. Got off the puter, at the request of dh, and went to bed. Was awoken about 10pm when the lights flashed, got up and all of a sudden a massive storm hit. They're not calling it a tornado, just straight line winds of 100 mph. Thank god we are all OK, obviously or I wouldn't be here, but we did have about $4/5,000 worth of damage done to the outside of the house. Our fence is completely over and our garage door was destroyed. Thank goodness for homeowners insurance. I ended up staying home from work on Monday, got the fence guy out and he did an estimate and got all the proper claims filed with the insurance company. Heard back today with the name and number of the inspector and a promise that he would contact me by tomorrow night. Hopefully he will come quickly so that we can get the fence back up, the moose are not happy with the itty bitty pen dh built for them to do their business.

OK, back to work on Tuesday, waiting for a call from the furniture company about our delivery for tomorrow. I had my fingers crossed that it would be a late afternoon delivery, since I already had to take Monday off. No such luck, got the call, delivery between 9 and 1. Crap, now its pretty much guaranteed that I have to take all of tomorrow off. I'm now down 16 hours for the week! But I am excited about my new furniture.

Oh but Fudgey, you will appreciate my little oops of the day today...I have to have 2 ID badges for work, well I usually weare them on a long nylon cord around my neck. For some reason this afternoon I clipped it to the top of my jeans and proceeded to go to the ladies room. Well as I'm walking out of the ladies room I feel something on my leg and realize that the cord that was dangling down had got dunked in the toilet bowl. Needless to say it is now in the trash! OK everyone have a good laugh at my expense now, it was all I could do at this point.

There were a few other minor mishaps along the way that I won't bore you with, lets just say its been a crappy week!

But then.....I get home and the wonderful, lovely Marie had sent me the new Selina Fenech sketch. Its got trolls and a dragon and everything. I just adore Selina's sketches and adore her trolls even more. Thanks again Marie!

If you've made it this far, I commend you. Thanks for the support!Nicolehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15972829457421653014noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20211436.post-1144006901647946932006-04-02T14:34:00.000-05:002006-04-02T14:41:41.666-05:00Not Much Going On
Like the title says, its been a pretty quiet weekend. I've been working on Queen of the Sea, thats the pic above, not much to look at yet, did the first 20 rows. Now gonna work on Fire for a bit and then possibly back to Goddess.

Beauty is all put back together, scratches all gone, rear end fixed all better.

Our new bedroom furniture is coming Thursday, so I'm sure I'll be boring you with pics of that.

Like I said, very boring week. But hey, thats just the way I like it.Nicolehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15972829457421653014noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20211436.post-1143419369353910542006-03-26T18:25:00.000-06:002006-03-26T18:29:29.370-06:00Part 1 HD for me!!!

Part 1 of Taj Mahal, Chatelaine, is finally finished. It was a marathone of beading, but with Lana's not so gentle prodding, I finished it this afternoon. I just wish the pic could do it justice. Now I'm moving to Queen of the Sea, a new HAED (surprise, surprise). I'm gridding now and should be stitching shortly.

Not much else going on, its going to be a busy week. Beauty has something wrong with her rear end and has to go to the shop tomorrow after work, then I'll have to pick her up after work one day. Hopefully our new furniture will come this week too.

I was a pretty good girl this week, only bought fabby (not even hand dyed) for upcoming starts and some DMC.

Thanks for reading!
Nicolehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15972829457421653014noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20211436.post-1142818777726957882006-03-19T19:26:00.000-06:002006-03-19T19:39:37.743-06:00I'm A Lousy BloggerOK, I admit it, I've been a terrible blogger lately. But I have had a ton going on, I'll just give the highlights....

1. I've had two root canals in the last month and a sinus infection. Had a raging tooth ache one night, went to the dentist and ended up at a specialist. Turns out 2 teeth were absessed (sp??) and the third was a root canal that was already done and is now failing. Needless to say it is absessed into the bone. So I had 2 root canals in the last month and have surgery scheduled on the third one at the end of April.

2. My Beauty (aka Mustang) was hit by a flying wood pallet on Thursday on my way home. Luckily, it was superficial damage and can be easily buffed out. Also luckily there were no injuries to Cole.

3. Last weekend was my nephew's 1st birthday and had family here all weekend visiting. He's a toot and was such a good boy during his party. Hard to believe he's 1 already.

4. Work has been pretty crazy. My company is being bought out by another and being in the legal department, we are really really busy. I was there a year last month, and finally got my little bonus that I have promptly spent on a mega stash binge (I'll explain about that later).

5. Our 6 year anniversary was earlier this month and dh and I celebrated by going out to dinner and to the lawn and garden show. We had a blast! The displays were absolutely stunning.

6. Now to the stuff I know you're all interest in....STASH BUYING...Well I went on a binge the last few weeks, it started with buying Love with a Capital L (Papillon Designs), the fabby for it and Needle Necessities Midnight Blue and Razzle Dazzle Red. This is my project for work. I work on it during the slow times, which unfortunately hasn't been much. Now this weekend was a major buying spree, I got HAED's Scotland, ordered the fabby for it and Vicki Clayton silks to stitch it, boy I can't wait for that. I also ordered the chart for Chatelaine's Egyptian and Japanese Gardens and the fabby for Japanese Garden and Persian Iris Garden. Last but definitely not least I also ordered HAED's Karma Fairy (Lusk) and Golden Orchid. Now I'm on the wagon again and won't be getting anything until the materials for PIG are released. And how can I forget that I ordered the beads for Taj!

7. Almost forgot, dh and I went shopping yesterday and bought a new bedroom set, actually its our first bedroom set. Its beautiful and I'll post some pictures after its delivered. Of course that was the purpose of buying Golden Orchid and Karma Fairy, I think they will look lovely in the room. Also PIG and Japanese Garden.

And as for stitching. I haven't gotten as much done as I usually do, but I have been diligently working on Taj Mahal and hopefully will be posting a picture of a finished part 1 shortly.

Well if you have made it this far I commend you!Nicolehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15972829457421653014noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20211436.post-1140288691757708582006-02-18T12:47:00.000-06:002006-02-18T12:51:31.773-06:00Yucky Winter Daybut I'm stitching away...Water is coming along nicely, just a little slow, dealing with lots of pinks/reds, but it is pretty so far. I started in the lower right corner, so the page is only approxiately 60x30, but its almost done. This slot I'll be doing the 3 bottom pages of 60x30. I'm almost 1/2 way thru the first page and will hopefully get well into the second page, if not finish it this weekend.

Its a great weekend for stitching, its cold as anything out, snow and ice, so its nice to be snuggled up in the house, just stitching away.Nicolehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15972829457421653014noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20211436.post-1140141890355950232006-02-16T19:55:00.000-06:002006-02-16T20:04:50.376-06:00Neglected the blog again...but had a good reason...
there she is...Golden Goddess...I can't believe how much I love her...and she really is a fast stitch. Lana and I started this slot on Sunday, Feb. 5 and I finished the first page on Tuesday, Feb. 14. Not bad (if I do say so myself!)! And I had an icky cold in there and didn't stitch for 2 nights and had a chat with LeeAnne Seed (one of my favorites) so actually didn't stitch for 3 nights.

Now we've started Water and let me tell you, the shading of the pinks in the lower left corner is amazing! I don't know how Michele does it, but it is absolutely incredible. We'll be doing a page of this and then on to our Fenechs, and boy is Small Things SCREAMING!!!! Well, she'll get a bunch of time in on her shortly.

Valentines Day was Tuesday and Honey got me a plant and a cute little card, but he was in the dog house for a bit. I came home, busted my rump making his favorite dinner and he was over an hour late and didn't call!!! Annoy me why don't you Honey. But its a really pretty plant, and a funny card. He's even taking my car to get the emissions done tomorrow while I'm at work, so I guess he's allowed out of the dog house (for now). Our anniversary is in 2 weeks, 6 years already, I can't figure out where the time went. We've been together for almost 11 years already! Wow!!!

Had a cold last week and boy do I hate being sick! But Lana listened to me whine and I got some wonderful cards from the lovely ladies of the board (THANKS GUYS!). Luckily I got over it pretty quick, but I did miss the release of Water, but the bestest stitching buddy in the world made up for it by sending it to me the next day, made up for the germies and all.

Well thats about it, my life is pretty boring as usual, but thats just the way I like it. Hopefully, my wonderful blog won't be neglected so long again...then you won't have such a long rambling blog to read....Nicolehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15972829457421653014noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20211436.post-1139158297895571292006-02-05T10:40:00.000-06:002006-02-05T10:51:37.923-06:00Misc.....
Well first, Scrumpy is on the mend, his ears are still pretty infected, but they are slowly getting better, thanks for the good thoughts everyone and thanks for the e-card JM, great artwork as always!

It wasn't the best stitchy week, was just a bit off. But, the stitchy bug is back and I've got a brand new start. I'm starting Lusk's Golden Goddess today, just finished the gridding and loaded it on the q-snaps. I'll have an update shortly (I'm sure).

As you can see, I did get a bit done on Iris (sorry about the blurry pic, too lazy to take another). She's coming along nicely. I was going to start Butterfly Chick (well I actually did start her), but just was not getting into it. I sometimes have a hard time working on the same artist back to back. I need to stir it up a bit and the Lusk is a definate deviation from my normal. The colors are not like these on anything else I'm working on. I thought it would be a nice change.

Lana and I have once again tossed up the rotation, here is the latest.....

Tso - 2 pages (for me Reone)

Seed - 1 page (for me Iris and Butterfly)

Screamer (for me Lusk's Golden Goddess)

Fenech (for me Small Things)

Screamer (will be Rosario's Water when it comes out)

Chatelaine's Taj Mahal

UFO (for me I think it will be When Paris Sizzles from Dimple Designs)

Other than this, my life is relatively boring just like I like it. Today is Superbowl Sunday and dh and I are staying home and watching the game. I made some brownies (yummy, yummy, yummy) this morning for snacks and I'll make up some dinner later. Its cold as the dickens out today, was only 28 degrees (F) when I got up this morning, my sinuses are hating this cold! More snow is predicted and I'm starting to wonder if we are going to get slammed during February since we've had such a mild winter so far.

Toodles till later....hope everyone is having a great stitching weekend!
Nicolehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15972829457421653014noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20211436.post-1138620543280172192006-01-30T05:25:00.000-06:002006-01-30T05:29:03.353-06:00Quick UpdateWell Scrumpy is on the mend. The drs pump him full of antibiotics, medicine and fluids and sent him on his way. They got the horrible fever to break and he seemed to be doing better last night. His mommma and daddy have to keep a close eye on him and have to bring him back to the dr, but they got him stabilized and he seemed to be doing much better. My poor little Baby Scrump. He's such a sweet little boy and I hate to think of him being in so much pain. Thanks for the thoughts Annette!

I did manage to get quite a bit of stitching in last night, I guess the stitching helped to occupy me more than I knew. The mop of hair on Iris is about 1/2 way filled in, but can you say ORANGE OVERLOAD! Hopefully I'll have an update later this week.

Toodley Doodley ladies!Nicolehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15972829457421653014noreply@blogger.com1
